Murderous Traffic is a promotions company and record label, highly regarded for their clubnight @ The Loft, Xscape every Sunday.
Murderous Traffic Promotions was born in February 2007, and has played host to numerous established and up & coming bands. Previous bands to grace the MT stage include Glasvegas, To My Boy, Frank Turner, Wild Beasts, Iglu and Hartly, Skint and Demoralized, Reverend & The Makers, The Pigeon Detectives and The Sunshine Underground.
Traffic Records’ first release was in October 2007 with The New Delamores’ limited edition single ‘Amanda’. This single is now completely sold out.
Their next release was a definitive local affair, with well regarded bands such as Above Them, ultCult, Zapped By A Million Volts and The New Delamores being featured on the CD ‘Murderous Traffic Presents Zavvi Hometown Vaults Mk. 2’. This was released on 4th February 2008 to celebrate Murderous Traffic 1st Year Birthday, and received 8/10 in the NME, 7/10 on drownedinsound.com, 3.5/5 in The Fly plus praise from numerous local and national magazines and internet sites.
